• 21.12.16 UNESCO supports launch of an online media ethics school in Bosnia and Herzegovina The Press Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina recently launched an online platform featuring a wide-range of video classes on media ethics and available free of charge in local language or English with subtitles (see www.mediaethics.eu). The setting-up of this online media ethics school has been supported by UNESCO within the framework of the project "Building Trust in Media in South East Europe and Turkey".

• 19.12.16 UNESCO Mobilizes Community Media to Promote 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence on the Airwaves in West and Central Africa In many societies, women – regardless of race, nationality, class or age – are victims of physical, sexual, psychological and economic violence, ad gender-based violence remains one of the main obstacle to the achievement of women's and girl's human rights. To address this ongoing obstacle, UNESCO has called attention to the responsibility that key actors have to eliminate gender-based violence. One of these actors is the media.
